The density determination kit consists of apparatus which allows the user to weigh a sample in air and then weigh the same sample in water or other liquid with a known density.

The software in the balance takes the operator through the process and finally displays the resultant density on the LCD in g/cm³, compensating for temperature and for the use of alternative fluids when calculating the density of solids.

The density determination kit is compatible with the AEA, AFA and AAA analytical balances and the AEP and AFP 3-decimal place top loading balances.

There are 2 versions of the kit - one for the AEA and AAA analytical balances and another for the AEP and AFP 3-decimal place top loading balances.

The kit consists of:

• Suspended weighing cradle to replace the standard pan
• Independent support for the beaker of fluid
• Glass beaker
• Thermometer with clip for suspension in the fluid
• Glass sinker of known volume for determination of fluid density
