Target mode will give an audible tone at and above a set point weight. The target weighing works like this:

Target Weighing - First place a target weight on the tray and depress the 'TARGET" keypad to memorize the weight (Target). At the same time the triangle mark appears on the left/center of the LCD display(target set) indicating that the scale is in target mode. Weight in memory is recalled by depression of the "TARGET" keypad again. Target weighing will be cancelled by the depression of the "ON-ZERO" keypad. Target weight is deleted from memory and "0" will be displayed and at the same time triangle mark disappears on the LCD.

Tare/target weighing - The operation helps you know shortage to target weight. Place target weight on the scale's platform. Depress "TARE" keypad to set the scale to "0" zero. Triangular mark appears on LCD display indicating that the scale is in tare mode. Take off target weight. Weight of target is displayed in minus (-) numerals.

Minus numeral shows the shortage to target weight and when it becomes same to the targeted weight "0" will be displayed. If the weight surpasses targeted weight by 1 graduation(1/2g or 0.01/0.02g) or more the scale will start beeping. (Weight is over the target weight.) Tare/target weighing mode will be cancelled by the depression of the "TARE" and "ON-ZERO" keypad.

Operation of keypads
Each depression of a keypad with the exception of the OFF keypad is accompanied with a beep sound to make sure that each instruction is programmed upon depression.

		Signifies center zero position. Depress the "ON-ZERO" keypad to turn the scale ON or return display to zero.
		Depress the "OFF" keypad to turn the scale OFF.
		First place a tare weight such as a dish, pan or other containers and depress the "TARE" keypad to subtract tare weight.
		Depression of the "TARGET" keypad activates target weighing. When the weight of the object on the platform surpasses the targeted weight by one division (minimum graduation) or more the numerals being displayed with flash and the scale will start beeping.
		Depressing the "MODE" keypad changes the weighing mode from grams to pounds. Measure unit in operation will be shown by the triangle mark on the top/right of the LCD display for g and on top/center for lb. The TLD-601-T weighs in decimal pounds and never in ounces (i.e. 8 oz would show on display as 0.50 lbs). When the scale is shut off the last weighing mode will be recalled.

Install six(6) "C" size alkaline batteries(not included). Battery life is more than 1000 hours. You may also operates on AC adapter included with scale. The 13" high column can be installed or the scale can be operated without.

Features include bubble indicator to help leveling the balance with the 2 rear adjustable feet. Place the scale on a firm, flat surface. To level the scale, adjust the height of the feet by hand until a bubble becomes stable in the center of the red circle of level gauge.

The TLD-601-T electronic portion control scale is USDA approved making this unit perfect for a food processing plant. The unit is NOT Legal-for-Trade and is not appropriate for commercial application when state regulatory bodies are requiring you to have a NTEP/Class3/LFT scale.
